PACE format
Valid input to PACE takes the following form.
Comma-seperated values
One function described on each row (except rows 1,2,3).
Row 1: column names. For details on the nature of those column names, see
http://menzies.us/pdf/03metrics.pdf
Row 2: the "cost" of collecting that column. These costs are not precise figures. Rather, they are just ordering figures; e.g. computing lines of code is simpler than computing Mccabe's cyclomatic complexity. So LOC's cost is less that that of v(g).
Row 3: reserved for future use.
Column 1: the "effort" associated with inspecting a module. E.g. if inspecting a function is proportional to LOC, then the LOC could be placed in column one.
Last column: the defect count for a module.
