who's first film is second lead in a major budget production.
You remember, her first four
films all come out together in 1936/1937,
which was also the year she
died of pneumonia (Apr 7, 1937).
She was discovered by Cecil B. DeMille, and made her screen debut as
Buffalo Bill Cody's wife in The Plainsman (1936). While filming
Night of Mystery (1937), she caught a cold which developed into
pneumonia. This killed her- at the ripe old age of 20.
